Batida
Batida – LADL Flowchart Recipe
Origin: Brazil
About: The batida is another Brazilian cocktail. Like a caipirinha, it is also made with the national alcoholic drink cachaça. In Portuguese, it literally means “shaken” and it resembles a alcoholic milkshake. It’s lighter than a caipirinha, but the coconut milk helps to thicken it. They are prepared in a blender with crushed ice added. The drink is traditionally served with the Brazilian national dish, feijoada.
Batida can be made with a variety of juices. The most common fruits used in a batida are lemons, passion fruits, and coconuts.
